Ingredients

  

  • 4 pieces large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon zest
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant lemon pudding mix, box
  • 1 cup Oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

 

  • Pour cake mix and pudding mix into a big mixing bowl. Whisk both ingredients then keep aside.
  • Get yourself another mixing bowl. Pour down sour cream, water, eggs, lemon zest, and lemon extract. Mix them until smooth.
  • Combine all of those mixtures in one bowl. Mix those dry and wet mixtures until they are all well combined.
  • Prepare a greased loaf pan with 9×5 dimensions. Pour flour on the surface. Then, pour batter on the loaf pan and spread with a spatula evenly.
  • Pour the combined mixtures into the loaf pan. Bake it at 350 Fahrenheit degrees. Make sure you bake it at least 55 minutes.
  • Adding Lemon Glaze

Notes

Adding lemon glaze on this cake is just easy. Some people add lemon glaze to imitate the lemon pound cake like what Starbucks offers.  Making a glaze is as easy as mixing 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of lemon zest and two cups of powdered sugar.   When the cake is cooled down totally, then add the glaze on the surface.

Another excellent idea that you can create is by icing this cake mix lemon pound cake. Add cream cheese frosting on the surface. Add some fresh fruits on the top if you want to serve it on at a party.
