Defrosting lobster tails can really take hours when you have no idea how to do that properly. Thaw in Refrigerator

If you have time, it is better to let the lobster tail out of the fridge and move it into the refrigerator for 24 hours. It will let the lobster tail to slowly thawed and preserve its juices and flavor. However, if you feel that this method is too long, of course there are still several other methods that you can try. Using Microwave

Microwave is the best appliance to get a lobster tail thawed. Defrosting lobster tails quickly can be done inside the microwave for 3 minutes only. All you need to do is just placing the frozen lobster tail in a microwave-safe container and put it inside the microwave. Set the timer to 3 minutes and wait. The tail will be thawed immediately.

 

Submerge in Water

Water is also the method to try when it comes to defrosting lobster tails. You need a large bowl full of water. Place the lobster tail in a zip lock and submerge it in the water. Change the water every 15 minutes and after an hour or so, the lobster tail should be completely thawed and ready to be cooked.

 

Defrost in Oven

In addition, the last method that you can try is by defrosting the lobster tail in the oven. Set the oven to 350 and broil the frozen lobster tail for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, check to see if the lobster is completely thawed. If they have not, put it back in the oven (covered with aluminum foil if you want) and then set it inside for another 10 minutes. The tail should be thawed by now.

Well, the main thing to understand about defrosting lobster tail is after the whole thing is thawed, you need to cook them immediately.
