Rudy’s BBQ sauce recipe is a signature sauce from Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q. The restaurant was built in Leon Springs, one of the many districts in San Antonio of Texas in 1989. The privately owned restaurant serves turkey, brisket, beef, ribs, pulled pork, sausages, ribs, and breakfast tacos. It also offers side dishes such as pickled carrots, coleslaw, creamed corn, stew, baked potatoes, potato salad, and bread by half loaf or the whole. Since the restaurant’s first establishment, nowadays there are approximately 34 locations in which the restaurant is operated. The locations include Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Colorado.
As of March 2018, the restaurant is now headquartered at 1514 Ranch Road 620 South Lakeway, Texas 78734, United States. The founder of the restaurant was Rudolph Aue, the son of Max Aue who, in the 1800s, established a small community of the previously mentioned Leon Springs in Texas. Rudolph actually built the restaurant for the first time in 1929 as a part of his business combinations which include an automobile repair, a filling station, a grocery store, and a shop. The country store and barbecue then was added in 1989 to combine the restaurant with the grocery to create a country store vibe.
The restaurant’s signature food includes the barbecue which 100% made from meats smoked on oak wood and its trademark spices especially made in house. The restaurant’s meats are different with the typical Texas meats which are smoked on Mesquite. Therefore, it makes the restaurant unique as it has its own signature meats as well as specialty in crafting the best quality food possible for its customers. For the beverages, similar to other restaurants, it serves beer and soda and features selections from the regional. As we all now live in a postmodern world, even you can make your own Rudy’s BBQ Sauce Recipe directly from your kitchen. Here are the steps to make it.

Rudy’s famous barbecue sauce even took part as a sponsor for driver Brad Coleman and Joe Gibbs Racing team for 3 Xfinity Series in 2009’s NASCAR races which later went nationwide. At that time, the restaurant used the name rudys.com as the official sponsorship name. 7 years later, the restaurant also became the official sponsor for the same races under a different name, Rudy’s Country Store & BBQ, for Garret Smithley and JD Motosports. This shows that not only Rudy’s BBQ sauce recipe is easy to make but it is also perfect for almost any occasion.
Having been buying and using this sauce for a good while, it seems like this is close, but certainly not the same. Neither by look or taste.
