Ingredients

  • 15 fresh preferably plump jalapeno peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese that has been left in room temperature
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 dash salt
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese. It’s better to shred it
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup dry breadcrumbs. Choose the plain one.

Instructions

  • Slice the jalapeno peppers. Do it in half lengthwise and don’t forget to remove the seeds.
  • Mix the cheddar and cream cheese in a bowl. The size of the bowl depends on your preference.
  • Make sure that the cream cheese and cheddar are blended well.
  • Fill up the halves of jalapeno pepper with the cream cheese mix. Don’t forget to press the remaining halves back again.
  • Put each of the milk, flour, and breadcrumbs in each separate bowl. Use the shallow one to make it easier.
  • Dip your jalapeno peppers in the milk first and then the flour. Make sure that it coats thoroughly well.
  • Set them on a waxed paper or a foil sheet. Let them be for around 15 minutes so they will dry off completely
  • After 15 minutes, dip those peppers again in milk, and then straight to the breadcrumbs. Let them be again for 15 minutes, top. If you want to add a sense of crunch, dip them again in the milk and coat them thoroughly with the breadcrumbs. Let them dry again. But if you don’t want to, once would be enough.
  • While waiting, use a deep fryer and heat up the oil. The ideal temperature should be 370 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Deep fry the peppers (which have been breaded thoroughly) for around 3 minutes. Or do it until they turn golden brown.
  • Remove them from the fry pan. Place them on paper towels to drain them completely.
  • Leave it be for a while until they are cool. They are ready to eat now!
