Put all of the ingredients listed above (except the olive oil and salt) into a food processor or a blender, and blend until they create a smooth mixture.
Pour olive oil slowly while the mixture is still being blended, until it turns light in consistency and creamy in texture.
Season with salt as necessary.
Put the hummus mixture into a serving bowl then drizzle the top with the extra olive oil.
Use your desired toppings for garnish.
Serve the hummus as dipping for fresh vegetables or pita, or use it in salads, wraps, sandwiches, and many more.
